Deepfakes and AI-Generated Content

Professional training to assess AI-generated images, videos, voices and texts: understand the models, inspect methodically, read provenance data (C2PA, watermarks), thwart cloned-voice and video-call fraud, cover political deepfakes without amplifying them and build a protection protocol for your organisation.

What you will learn

  • Explain how diffusion models, GANs, large language models, voice cloning and face swapping work, and what each can and cannot yet do
  • Inspect a suspicious image, video or audio file using a systematic checklist, weighing each clue and taking compression and confirmation bias into account
  • Spot text or a website mass-produced by AI by checking claims, quotes and sources rather than style
  • Read a Content Credentials manifest on contentcredentials.org/verify and state precisely what it proves and what it does not
  • Thwart cloned-voice or video-call fraud with call-backs to known numbers, code words and out-of-band verification
  • Cover a political deepfake or a non-consensual intimate fake without amplifying it or feeding the liar’s dividend
  • Draft a verification protocol and a deepfake incident response plan for a company or institution
  • Carry out a full analysis of suspicious content through to a conclusion proportionate to the evidence
